Music For Your Heart
Regular aerobic exercise has been extensively studied and is known to have long-term cardiac benefits. However, did you know that listening to your favorite tune can dilate your blood vessels the same way exercise or drugs used to treat high blood pressure and cholesterol do? Researchers have shown that when people listen to music that makes them feel good (you pick the song) the effect of blood vessel dilation can last for almost an hour afterwords. Blood vessels that are able to react by dilating are termed as more “elastic.” More elastic vessels decrease the risk of atherosclerosis and blood clot formation that can lead to stroke and heart attacks.

I totally agree. I have been an Elvis fan all my life and now that I am off work recovering from an illness. I have found that listening to Elvis music makes me feel so much better. It has lowered my blood pressure because it relaxes me and lets me enjoy something just for myself. I become immersed in the music and feel good for hours afterward.

Music is,most often, listened toduring leisure hours, though some people can work and listen to music at the same time. Prolonged stressful conditiions makes the individual very much aware of his environment and abnormal consciosness can lead to cardiac problems. In such conditions the individual palpitate with the least stimulation. frequent palpitation is tentamount to cardiac problems. please find ample time to relax. listen to music not noise

I,too, love light and pop music and have been actually listening to my favourite music sinc childhood but I have not yet tested it compact on my b/p and physical condition, which I, considering your view, I decided to test its effect but I do not know how.
May be I need to test my b/p and make chlostrole test before listening to music and make another similar test after, if so, what is the testing period intervals?
